Owner / Grower

Porter has been entrenched in the green industry his entire life.  Before starting Highland Nursery, Porter ran a design/build landscape architect company.  One of the great experiences from that venture was to see first hand how plants are handled, sold, maintained, installed, and grown at all scales and levels of the business.  He handles every component of the growing and sales process for Highland Nursery.

Owner / Grower

Brittany earned an Associates degree from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture and a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  Brittany manages our seedling and transplanting production, handles many administrative tasks, and does it all while being a busy mom to her two sons, Colin and Rowan. 

Grower

Ted has over 35 years of experience in the green industry as a grower.  He built much of the business to what it is today and continues to play a key role in the growing operation at Highland's.  Ted is responsible for growing our fruit bearing trees and shrubs as well as a handful of other plant stock we offer.  It's not unusual to find Ted trying out new and funky ways of growing or training plants to catch the eyes of buyers!  

Grower

Maggie is also a pioneer of Highland Nursery and has over 25 years of experience in the growing industry.  Maggie does it all throughout the nursery but is specifically responsible for seedling transplants and production.  Detailed oriented and hard working, she is a true asset to our team.
